Vitalina devoted her life to God as a hermitess, residing at Artonne (Puy-le-Dome), France. She died while still young, and was buried at the site of her hermitage. The famed bishop Saint Martin of Tours is said to have prayed at her tomb. Vitalina came to be venerated as patroness of Artonne.
